MacEwan's John L. Haar Library has spaces that can occasionally accommodate visual displays of scholarly activity by faculty and students. The library also provides a service for creating and curating digital exhibits of scholarly activity to reach a broader audience.

Displays in the Library

MacEwan Library is currently working on creating a formal application process for students and faculty wishing to display collections of their scholarly activity in the library. In the meantime, anyone interested in putting together a visual display or exhibit is invited to contact library@macewan.ca(link sends email) to discuss their request further.

Digital Exhibits

MacEwan Digital Exhibits(link is external) is an online platform that uses Omeka S(link is external) software to host digital exhibits created and curated by faculty and students, including:

  • Oral history projects
  • Mapping projects
  • Exhibits of user-generated content, including photovoice projects
  • Exhibits of primary sources around a common theme

Interested in creating a digital exhibit? Review the Terms of Use(link is external) for the service and the MacEwan Digital Exhibits & Omeka S guide(link is external).

When you are ready to get started, fill out the MacEwan Digital Exhibits Request Form(link is external).
