The MacEwan Library Checkout App allows you to quickly check out library resources using your own device. Please note that the app will only work while inside the John L. Haar Library or the Allard Hall Technology Centre.
1. While on campus, download and open the MacEwan Library Checkout App on your device:
- Allow the app to access your camera and location, used to scan book barcodes and connect to our library location
2. Log in to the app:
- Touch "START" on the welcome screen.
- Select the "Log In" and enter your MacEwan username and password.
- Note: If you are a Guest, Alumni, or Retiree borrower, toggle to the "Barcode" option on the welcome screen and enter the barcode number from your Borrower Card.
3. Check out library materials:
- Touch the "+" button to check out an item.
- Scan the barcode of the item you wish to borrow using your phone camera.
- Once you have scanned all your books, touch "FINISH" to check out the items.
4. Check your MacEwan email account for a receipt and due dates for your library items.
Log in to MyAccount for more details about your library account, including current checkouts, holds, and fines.
