Course Outline Service

The Course Outline Service is the easiest way for instructors to add materials to a course. Simply send us your course outline (syllabus) and we’ll do the rest to ensure your students have access to the reading and viewing materials they need. Library staff will:

  • Insert a permanent link to full text articles, ebooks, and streaming media available electronically from the Library collection,
  • identify whether material can be digitized (e.g. an excerpt from a book, stream a DVD),
  • review and clear copyright,
  • add materials to your mêskanâs course,
  • add materials to print reserve,
  • if requested, discuss options for using or creating open education resources.

Course Outline Service requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis; however, turnaround time (typically 3 – 5 days) will be affected by the number of requests received and may be considerably longer if copyright permission is required or if items are not currently available in the Library. Faculty are encouraged to submit requests at least three weeks before the start of classes. Please submit your request below and Library staff will follow up. Questions? Contact us at
